Material covered[]

In summer 2012, the material will be covered in the course is guided by Sheldon Ross's textbook, A First Course in Probability. Chapters 1-6 will be covered in detail, and portions of chapters 7-8 will be discussed in the last few weeks of the course. These chapters cover basic combinatorics, axioms of probability, conditional probability, random variables (discrete and continuous), joint distributions, expected value, and limit theorems.
